Job summary

Abbott Toxicology is seeking a Collecting Officer to join a regional team. You will collect specimens (urine, breath, hair, oral fluid) at customer locations and follow our chain of custody procedures while remaining available for day, evening, weekend, and holiday collections.

You will participate in a 24-hour on-call rota, respond promptly, and arrive on site within 2 hours. Training on compliant collection methods will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good verbal, written and communication skills.
• IT literate and basic skill in Word, Excel & Outlook.
• A self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to follow set processes to ensure the right outcome.
• Driving licence + own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specimen collections competently following collection procedures and customer requirements.
• Provide availability to attend collections during the day, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota and respond to calls promptly, arriving on site within 2 hours.
• Remain current with processes by reading updates and attending required audits.
