Job summary

Abbott Toxicology is seeking a Collecting Officer to join a flexible regional team and collect samples at customer locations by urine, breath, hair, or oral fluids. You will be trained on legally defensible sample collection and must be available day, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, with on-call duties and on-site response within two hours.

Role requires basic IT skills, good communication, and a driving licence with own vehicle. Abbott is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Educated to National Standards.
• Good verbal, written and communication skills.
• IT literate and basic skill in Word, Excel & Outlook
• A self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to work
• Ability to follow set processes to ensure the right outcome
• Driving licence + own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Conduct specimen collections competently following collection procedures and customer requirements to deliver a quality specimen collection service at customer locations.
• Provide availability to attend collections during the day, evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with business needs.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota on an equal basis with the rest of the team and respond to calls, arriving on site within 2 hours.
• Remain current with process by reading and acknowledging updates and attending audits as required to remain competent.
• Any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
