Job summary

SUEZ is recruiting a customer-focused site operative to support the public in using the site and maximise recycling of materials. You will maintain records, co-ordinate container exchanges and keep your area tidy while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring space to segregate and store material.
• Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring health, safety and welfare responsibilities are met for employees and others affected by actions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and other employees to comply with site permit and company policies.
• Carrying out any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
