Job summary

SUEZ in United Downs, St Day, Redruth (TR16 5HU) is seeking a customer-focused site operative to join the HWRC team on a Permanent, full-time basis. You will help members of the public use the site and maximise material recovery, with full training provided.

You will work 40 hours per week, with 08:30–16:30 start times, and full PPE supplied. A good level of customer service and team spirit are essential; a background in mobile plant and health & safety training such as IOSH would be

• With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health and safety, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

Responsibilities

• Providing Excellent Levels Of Customer Service, You Will Advise And Assist Members Of The Public On How To Use The Site In Order To Maximise Recovery Of Materials They Are Depositing, Which Will Involve
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

About The Role

• Salary £26,819.80 per annum / £12.85 per hour
• Working 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: To be discussed at interview
• Start time: 08:30 am - 16:30pm
• Own transport a must, mobile role based at United Mines HWRC and covering other local HWRC sites
• Full PPE provided

About The Role

What will I be doing?

What are the requirements?

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

What You Will Need Is

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
