Job summary

Toppesfield is seeking an experienced Mobile Fitter to install, service, repair and troubleshoot Tac Coat spraying equipment at customer sites across the UK. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, customer service, and the ability to work independently.

Ideal candidates will have proven field service experience on industrial machinery, strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic diagnostics, and a clean UK driving license. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mobile Service Engineer or Field Service Technician, ideally with experience in spraying equipment, industrial machinery, or related fields.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostic and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
• Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
• Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline) are highly desirable.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to sites to perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Tac Coat sprayers.
• Maintain tac coat sprayers to a planned service schedule
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults effectively and efficiently.
• Carrying out necessary repairs and replacements, ensuring equipment is operating to optimal performance and safety standards.
• Completing accurate service reports and documentation.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintaining and managing your company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
