Job summary

Wernick Hire is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to join our field team in the UK. You will service and repair our cabin, modular and welfare units across on-site locations, handling mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks as required.

The role requires a practical, adaptable individual with a full driving licence and a hands-on approach. You will work both independently and as part of a team, visiting multiple sites daily while upholding high standards of customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in site accommodation hire, installation and maintenance.
• On-site repairs across cabins, modular units and welfare facilities.
• Customer-facing role requiring clear communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance on cabins, modular and welfare fleet (mechanical and electrical).
• Fix plumbing in canteens and toilet blocks; replace door handles; perform joinery work.
• Assist with site installation and dismantle tasks, including staircases and link units.
• Complete paperwork and inform customers about call-out charges; maintain a fix-it-first-time approach.
• Present yourself professionally and provide excellent customer service to clients.

Join our dynamic Hire Team, to assist in maintaining our range of units and attending customer sites to establish faults and repair.,

• Duties can range from maintaining our range of Cabin, Modular and welfare fleet mechanically and electrically to fixing plumbing in canteens and toilet blocks to replacing door handles, all aspects of joinery work including replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting and easing of internal doors, partition walls and roof repairs.
• Some on site installation and dismantle works will make up part of the job role, this includes erecting or dismantling of staircases and link units
• The role will require filling out any necessary paperwork and advising customers if call-outs are chargeable, which you would receive the necessary training
  This is a client facing role, so a helpful and professional individual is required. This position would suit an all-rounder who can turn their hand to most jobs
• The ideal candidate will be adaptable and organised with a keen attitude
• Must be self motivated with good DIY skillls and the ability to work in a team or on own initiative
• Multiple visits will need to be carried out within a day so "fix it first time" approach is necessary for the successful candidate.
• Experience in site accommodation hire, installation and maintenance would be extremely beneficial to this role., Experience in a similar role
• Presentable with an excellent customer service attitude
• Skills in plumbing, joinery and electrics (would suit a handyman/woman)
• Full driving licence

• Experience in cabin fitting would be a distinct advantage
