Mobile Service Engineer - Hydraulics, Rochester

Job Description:

Hydraulics Service Engineer required for a manufacturer in Rochester. Technicians cover a range of disciplines including diagnostic work, new installations, removal and re-installations of components, upgrades, renewals, hose replacement service, system monitoring, and service. This work may be carried out within the workshop and on-site for our clients.

1. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic equipment.
2. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
3. Consulting with the customer on repair and safety-related issues.
4. Completing appropriate documentation.
5. Complete all necessary reports and inspections as required.
6. Adhere to existing processes whilst contributing to improvements.
7. Qualifications: City and Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
8. Practical experience with hydraulic equipment and systems preferred; product training will be provided.
9. Good command of the English language (verbal and written).
10. Strong interpersonal skills due to extensive customer contact.
11. Willingness to work extra hours.
12. Hold a current driving license for at least 2 years.

Desirable certifications include SSSTS or SMSTS, Confined Space Training, and First Aid at Work.

Work Hours and Compensation:

Basic 40-hour week, 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary ranges from circa £28k to £36k depending on experience, up to £46k OTE. Night and weekend work as part of the team, with overtime pay for unsociable hours.

Site van and specialist tooling are supplied for site visits.
