Orion Electrotech Sales is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our team. Based in Slough and covering the South East, you will travel to customer sites to diagnose, service, and repair specialist vehicles and equipment, acting as the face of our service operation.

This full-time role offers a company van, door-to-door pay, and overtime opportunities. You’ll work independently, embrace a field-based schedule, and develop your skills while delivering high workmanship and first-class

Qualifications

Qualified mechanic with relevant vehicle or industrial equipment experience.
Extensive hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge and diagnostic skills.
Experience with special purpose vehicles or mobile plant is highly beneficial.
Excellent customer service and ability to work remotely at customer sites.
Clean driving licence and willingness to travel for field service.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, service and repair specialist vehicles at customer sites.
Carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.
Manage own workload and communicate updates with the Service Team.
Complete service sheets and documentation accurately.
Promote parts and services where appropriate.

We are a market leader in special purpose vehicles, and were seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in a field-based role and enjoys working independently.

About the Role

As a Mobile Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on specialist vehicles and equipment. You’ll act as the face of our service operation, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Attend customer sites as a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair special purpose vehicles.
Carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Manage your own workload and communicate updates clearly with the Service Team.
Complete all service sheets, job cards, and documentation accurately as part of the Mobile Service Technician role.
Promote parts and services where appropriate.
Maintain a professional image at all times, including company van cleanliness and on-site behaviour.

Essential Skills & Experience

Qualified mechanic (HGV, plant, forklift, military engineering, or automotive).
Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and diagnostic procedures.
Background working with special purpose vehicles, mobile plant, or forklifts highly beneficial.
Excellent customer service skills essential for a Mobile Service Technician.
Knowledge of diesel and electric engines.
Reasonably clean driving licence required.
Willingness to travel for field service work regularly.
