Job summary

HCL is seeking a Mobile Cook Manager based in the West Midlands, working 27.5 hours per week. You will travel to primary and secondary schools to support services, lead daily kitchen operations, and deliver fresh, nutritious meals while managing stock and budgets.

A strong focus on food safety, allergen awareness and safeguarding is required. You will inspire and develop your team, maintain records (HACCP, audits) and build positive relationships with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Food safety and HACCP compliance demonstrated.
• Experience leading a kitchen team in a school setting is desirable.
• Strong planning and budgeting skills for kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations across schools.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, nutritious meals.
• Oversee stock control, ordering and budget management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regs.
• Monitor quality, presentation and portion control.
