Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. This dynamic role requires flexibility to cover different stores, respond to incidents, and deter retail crime while delivering excellent customer service.

You will travel between sites, patrol shops, monitor CCTV, carry out searches, liaise with management, and produce incident reports. A valid SIA licence, enhanced DBS/BS7858, and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) and BS7858 clearance.
• Right to Work in the UK and enhanced DBS checks.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Previous retail security or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management and local teams to reduce risks.
• Produce clear incident reports in a timely manner.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate confrontations calmly and safely.
• Ensure health & safety, legal and client procedures are followed.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
