Job summary

HR-CL Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile Relief Chef to cover kitchens across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas. You will step in to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods, ensuring each kitchen runs smoothly while you bring variety from one shift to the next.

You can choose when you work and the role offers shifts across a range of client sites, with a focus on high standards of food safety, allergen management and adaptability to new teams.

Qualifications

• Previous chef experience, ideally in contract catering, education or private healthcare.
• Confidence working on your own and adapting to different kitchens and teams.
• Good knowledge of food safety and allergen management.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or above (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals at client sites.
• Settling into new kitchens quickly and working with existing teams.
• Following set menus, recipes and portion controls.
• Catering for special dietary needs and allergens.
• Keeping food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards high.
• Helping with stock rotation, ordering and kitchen paperwork when needed.
