Job summary

CSS Environmental Ltd, a trusted Mechanical & Electrical services provider, is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer for our mobile engineering team. This hands-on role covers a variety of commercial sites, including restaurants, retail and education, across London and the South East, with a focus on high workmanship and customer service.

The ideal candidate holds F-Gas and City & Guilds 2079 Level 2, a full UK driving licence, and proven experience with commercial refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

• F-Gas certification and City & Guilds Level 2 required.
• Experience maintaining/commercial refrigeration systems.
• Clean driving licence and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned Preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive repairs.
• Completing refrigeration installations, upgrades and commissioning work.
• Carrying out system performance checks and ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Working across a variety of commercial sites including restaurants, retail and education.
• Using the Cafty system to manage job sheets and documentation.
• Delivers excellent customer service on site.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing mobile engineering team. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service across a variety of commercial sites. This opportunity would suit an engineer looking to join a reputable and growing business where they can develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out reactive breakdown repairs efficiently
• Completing refrigeration installations, upgrades, and commissioning work
• Carrying out system performance checks and ensuring compliance with current regulations
• Working across a variety of commercial sites, including restaurants, retail units, leisure facilities, and educational establishments
• Using the Cafty system to manage job sheets, reports, and job documentation
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing CSS Environmental professionally on site

What we're looking for:

• F-Gas Certification
• City & Guilds 2079 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in the callout rota
• Apprenticeship-trained background
• Experience working across multiple manufacturers and refrigeration system types
