Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking a practical On-Board Facilities Operative to support passenger rail services in the London area. The role focuses on cleaning, maintaining and keeping on-board toilets and plumbing fully functional while travelling to call-outs across the rail network.

No rail experience is required as full training is provided, including PTS and fleet engineering competencies. The position offers a 4 on 4 off pattern with a competitive hourly rate and immediate start, subject to

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a trade or facilities background.
Experience in basic plumbing, mechanical fitting or facilities maintenance.
Comfortable dealing with waste/sewage/effluent systems.
Good health, safety and quality attitude.
PTS certification desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

Travel across the rail network to call outs for issues in service.
Clean, repair and maintain toilets, sinks and other bathroom fixtures on-board trains.
Unblock train toilets and sinks.
Fix leaks or damaged surfaces in on-board WCs as required.
Ensure safety, hygiene and functionality standards on every shift.
Manage tools, parts and stock and report maintenance needs.
Operate across the train fleet in a mobile, field-based capacity.
