Qualifications

Responsibilities

Mobile PSV Engineer

c. £55,000 DOE plus bonus | Company Van | Monday-Friday

Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire

An opportunity for an experienced bus and coach engineer to move away from a traditional workshop or repair-focused role into an autonomous, customer-facing position. The Mobile PSV Engineer will use their technical expertise to inspect PSVs at depot sites, ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to the required standards. The also role offers some flexibility of working hours.

The Mobile PSV Engineer will

• Carry out scheduled inspections of buses and coaches operating within customer fleets
• Assess vehicle condition, maintenance standards, damage and previous repair work
• Identify and document maintenance, repair and rectification work required
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly and in line with manufacturer guidelines
• As Mobile PSV Engineer, liaise directly with customers regarding vehicle condition and required remedial work
• Represent the business with key customers across Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire

The Mobile PSV Engineer should

• Have substantial experience as a qualified PSV Technician, Bus Engineer or Coach Engineer
• Ideally have progressed into a Field Service Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Vehicle Inspector or similar customer-facing technical role
• Have strong knowledge of bus and coach maintenance, inspection, repair and defect standards
• Be confident working autonomously and making sound technical decisions
• Bring the customer-facing skills and commercial awareness required to succeed as a Mobile PSV Engineer
• Hold a full UK driving licence, ideally PSV (cat D), and be comfortable travelling throughout the region
