Duties of the Mobile Plant Technician:
- Perform major and minor repairs on plant machinery at customer sites and dealer locations
- Carry out PDI works and attachment setup on plant machinery
- Conduct mobile repair and maintenance tasks
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance based on operational hours and schedules
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the service vehicle
- Collaborate with sales and repair teams to ensure quality and reliable service delivery
- Diagnose machine issues, plan repairs, and maintain accurate records
- Complete necessary documentation, including warranty claims
- Provide in-house training to trainees and new recruits
- Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards at all times
Requirements of the Mobile Plant Technician:
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Machinery Maintenance & Repair
- Several years’ practical experience post-qualification
- Full UK driving licence for machinery and vehicle classes
- Flexibility regarding location and working hours due to the mobile nature of the role
- Ideally based near Swindon or Gloucester
- Highly motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently
- Able to produce high-quality work, communicate effectively, and work towards targets
