Job summary

Panda Recycling in Widnes is seeking an experienced Loading Shovel & 360 Grab Operator to join our busy site. You will operate mobile plant to safely move, load and sort waste materials throughout the site, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The role requires valid plant operator tickets, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy waste environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loading shovels and 360 grabs.
• Valid plant operator tickets/licences.
• Understanding of mobile plant safety procedures.
• Able to work in a busy waste/recycling environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovels, 360 grabs, forklifts and other mobile plant.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move and segregate materials to maximise recovery and recycling.
• Complete daily safety and defect checks before operating equipment.
• Identify and report unsuitable or non-conforming materials.
• Keep operational areas, walkways and machinery clean and free from debris.
• Support routine plant maintenance once trained.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and site procedures.
• Report equipment defects, incidents and near misses immediately.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
