Job summary

Envar are recruiting a Mobile Plant Operator to join their site in Swanley. You will operate mobile plant, primarily 360 excavators and wheeled loading shovels, following health and safety rules and ensuring efficient site operations.

The role requires at least 1 year of excavator experience, a good safety record, and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy waste management environment. Permanent, full-time hours are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year 360 excavator experience.
• Safe operation of mobile plant.
• Good communication.
• Able to work safely and follow H&S policy and procedures.
• Positive attitude to environmental issues.
• Flexibility where needed.
• Time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery (360 excavator, wheeled loading shovel) to maintain site operations safely.
• Carry out daily/weekly checks, refuelling, lubrication and greasing; report defects.
• Follow site rules and safe systems of work; keep areas tidy and clear.
• Provide high standards of customer care and service quality.
• Use PPE and safety equipment at all times.
• Report contamination, incidents, hazards, and safety breaches to supervision.
• Complete training to operate other plant and supervisory tasks.
• Assist other operatives and perform additional duties as required for continuity.
• Adhere to company safety culture and cooperate with colleagues.
