Job summary

BAM Site Solutions is seeking a Mobile Plant Mechanic for our Morley, Leeds depot. You will work in a busy workshop, servicing and repairing plant and equipment, with on-site support for BAM and client projects.

Qualifications

• A clean driving licence preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds or equivalent in Plant maintenance and repair.
• Gain Level 3 Diploma in Plant Maintenance (Construction).
• Gain Level 3 Diploma in supervising lifts.
• CSCS Skilled worker card with plant maintenance and repair.
• CITB Health and safety touch screen test supervisory level.
• CITB Thorough examination course.
• Gain TIMMM.
• Gain EngTech.

Responsibilities

• Carry out workplace risk assessments on own and with team.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
• Resolve technical problems relating to plant and equipment and share knowledge, use own initiative whilst on-site.
• Carry out and record regular plant inspections.
• Carry out scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Maintain internal plant to Site Solutions standards.
• Carry out on- and off-hire PDI inspections to Site Solutions standards.
• Carry out pre-through examination inspections.
• Provide clear and concise data and records.
• Lead familiarisation or advise others in safe operation and maintenance of plant.
• Advise on modification and development of plant to ensure compliance with Change Control Procedures.
• Identify opportunities to implement new technology.
• Carry out daily/weekly work programmes set by manager.
• Train, mentor and develop others.
• Maintain CPD records to demonstrate career development.
• Record all work in company electronic system.
