Job summary

BCS Group is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter to service, maintain and repair plant equipment within our hire fleet. Based from our head office in Walsall, you will travel to various locations, providing an on-site service to customers and attending breakdowns, carrying out scheduled services, and keeping comprehensive maintenance records.

You will work within the Plant department, coordinating with the Ops team and Customer contacts to ensure progress is communicated and downtime is minimised.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Plant Fitter/Engineer.
• Computer literate and detail-oriented.
• Team player; flexible and self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete service and maintenance for plant equipment, following guidelines.
• Raise workshop jobs detailing hours and parts; update certificates.
• Request parts via the workshop module.
• Record hours and parts on return to the depot.
• Liaise with customer on site about progress and downtime.
• Maintain stock of tools, spares and consumables on the vehicle.
• Identify equipment for disposal and highlight to management.
• Work to timescales with Team Leaders.
