Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter in Southampton. You will travel to customer sites across the area to service, maintain and repair construction and agricultural machinery, with workshop work as required. Overtime available and a company van with fuel card provided.

This permanent, full-time position offers ongoing training and genuine long-term progression within a supportive team focused on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding experience.
• Experience working on construction or agricultural machinery.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural plant machinery.
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites.
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers.
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service.

Mobile Plant Fitter - Southampton | £31,000-£38,000 + Overtime + Van

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business supporting customers across Southampton and the surrounding areas. The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.
