Job Description

Plantforce Limited is a successful leading supplier of self-drive and operated construction plant equipment across the UK.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join our Southwest field service team, mainly based from our Exeter depot with some requirement to work from our Liskeard depot as required, servicing and maintaining a vast range of construction and earthmoving equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. The routine servicing of construction equipment in line with manufacturers schedule and specification.
  2. Regular lubricant and fluid monitoring and replenishment.
  3. Preventative maintenance / monitoring.
  4. Fault reporting.
  5. Cleaning, inspecting and preparing plant for transfer or redeployment.
  6. Fitting replacement parts.
  7. Working alongside other team members on larger maintenance / repair tasks.
Skills/Experience required:
  1. Full driving licence.
  2. Good mechanical knowledge.
  3. Experience of plant and construction equipment and hydraulic systems.
  4. Experience of conducting routine maintenance to a required level and standard.
  5. Understanding of risk assessments and method statements.
Behaviours required:
  1. Proactive and self-motivated.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Good time management.
  4. Strong organisational skills.
  5. Ability to demonstrate initiative.
  6. Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
