Perfect Placement UK Ltd is pleased to present a Mobile Plant Engineer role with a respected utilities maintenance provider. The position covers servicing, inspections, and repairs on utility vehicles at customer sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and on-site execution.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, operate tablet-based reports, and participate in career progression to senior technician or supervisor roles.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; practical experience considered
• Full UK driving licence
• Own hand tools
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites
• Experience with PTO systems, tail lifts, hydraulics, or mobile roadside repairs advantageous
• Ex-forces personnel or those seeking a career change welcome
• 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with paid meal breaks

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on utility vehicles at customer sites
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, including PTO systems, tail lifts, vehicle-mounted cranes, and winches
• Vehicle safety and compliance checks
• Respond to breakdowns and urgent repair requests
• Complete detailed job reports via tablet, including photographs, hours worked and parts used
• Communicate with the service team to coordinate repairs
• Work independently at customer locations, adhering to safety standards
