Job description

This is a mobile optometrist position covering Mondays, Fridays, and weekends in the Hawick and Galashiels stores.

Both busy stores are located on the main thoroughfare in each town. Each store has a highly experienced team and up-to-date equipment.

About the opportunity

You will be a key part of a team passionate about delivering unforgettable customer care, with the support, resources, and progression opportunities of a leading healthcare brand.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to patients
  • Testing eyes using the latest technology while maintaining excellent patient care
  • Delivering enhanced services based on store needs
  • Responding to emergency triages
  • Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
  • Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor
  • Offering advice to patients using your clinical knowledge
  • Staying updated with the latest clinical practices
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders
What you’ll need to have

The essential skills and experience include:

  • GOC registration (or expecting to be registered within 6 months)
  • Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
  • A drive to deliver excellent patient care
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A motivation to ‘See What’s Possible’ for teams, customers, and patients
