Job summary

Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care in Reading is seeking a Mobile Dispensing Assistant to join our mobile team and support dispensing services across practices. You will travel between practices, welcoming patients and helping them find eyewear that suits their lifestyle while delivering excellent service.

Working across our practices, you’ll contribute to patient satisfaction from arrival to collection and support clinical dispensing activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience working in an optical environment.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Organised, adaptable and able to work across multiple locations.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence held.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional experience.
• Manage appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Support patients with enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Dispense and fit spectacles under supervision of a GOC registered dispensing optician.
• Take accurate measurements and ensure prescription orders are processed correctly.
• Travel across practices within the Surrey region to provide dispensing and customer care support.
