Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in London is seeking a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer with electrical and mechanical maintenance expertise to service a range of plant and building services. You will diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance and support heavy industrial equipment on site.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, City & Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 18th Edition, and experience with 3-phase motors, drives and PLC fault finding.

Qualifications

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
• City & Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualification to 18th Edition.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks on site; update drawings and identify critical spares.
• Fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to maintenance; support heavy machinery and cranes.
• Write risk assessments and method statements; ensure safe working practices.
• Use CAFM system to project and complete maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with onsite services to manage building issues.
• Deputise for shift leader during leave or sickness; overtime including nights and weekends.

Job Summary

We're looking for a talented and versatile Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. If you have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical competences, and a passion for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance

Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes

Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment

Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system

Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues

Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness

Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends

Requirements

Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering

Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance experience

Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition

Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical

Good multi-skilled ability, with experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters

Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems

NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical

Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements

Desirable

Working at height qualification

IPAF certification

AP qualifications

Experience of heavy engineering
