Qualifications

• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical competences to 17th Edition.
• Good multi-skilled ability on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
• Mechanical qualifications to an acceptable standard (City & Guilds).
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
• Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site.
• Conduct fault-finding on machinery, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Use mobile devices to project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
• Write and follow risk assessments and method statements for safe, accurate work.
• Use CAFM system to project and complete maintenance works with mobile devices.
• Liaise with onsite services to manage building services issues.
• Deputise for the shift leader during leave or sickness.
• Work overtime, including nights and weekends as required.

Job Summary

We're looking for a talented and versatile Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services. If you have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance, electrical and mechanical competences, and a passion for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance
• Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes
• Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment
• Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system
• Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues
• Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness
• Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance experience
• Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition
• Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
• Good multi-skilled ability, with experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems
• NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical
• Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements

Desirable

• Working at height qualification
• IPAF certification
• AP qualifications
• Experience of heavy engineering
