Job summary

Valoris Group in London is seeking a Mobile Mechanical/HIU Engineer to join a permanent team covering London and surrounding areas. The role is field-based, with a rota of about 1 in 7 on-call and enhanced overtime rates.

Responsibilities include servicing hydraulic heating, HIUs, pumps, valves, and building services across commercial sites, with onsite safety focus and access to company benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a mobile HVAC or building services role.
• Must reside in the UK with full right to work.
• Valid UK driving licence and DBS check clear.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on hydraulic heating, hot and cold water, and booster systems.
• Setting up and maintaining inverter-driven pumps and associated controls.
• Pipework commissioning, balancing, and valve servicing.
• Pressure vessel and pressurisation unit installation and maintenance.
• HIU servicing and maintenance across a range of systems.
• System drain-downs and refills for complete buildings.
• Diagnosis and replacement of pumps, valves, and plate heat exchangers.
• Working across central plant rooms, energy centres, and full building distribution networks.
• General knowledge of gas appliances, electrical safety, and building management systems.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards on site.

About the Opportunity
Valoris Group is working in partnership with an established leader in the building services sector, supporting their search for an experienced Mobile Mechanical/HIU Engineer. This business has operated successfully for over three decades, delivering maintenance and installation solutions across a prestigious commercial portfolio, mainly within Greater London and the M25.

Role Overview
This position is mobile, focused almost entirely within the M25, servicing commercial sites with occasional attendance at a Head Office located in Bishops Stortford. Engineers join a structured call-out rota (approximately 1 week in 7) with standby and enhanced overtime rates available.

Core Responsibilities

Maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on hydraulic heating, hot and cold water, and booster systems.

Setting up and maintaining inverter-driven pumps and associated controls.

Pipework commissioning, balancing, and valve servicing.

Pressure vessel and pressurisation unit installation and maintenance.

HIU servicing and maintenance across a range of systems.

System drain-downs and refills for complete buildings.

Diagnosis and replacement of pumps, valves (modulating and directional), and plate heat exchangers.

Working across central plant rooms, energy centres, and full building distribution networks.

General knowledge of gas appliances, electrical safety, and building management systems.

Strong commitment to health and safety standards on site.

Package and Benefits

Base salary between £45,000 £50,000 depending on experience.

Candidate Requirements

Currently residing in the UK with full right to work.

Must live within a commutable distance of Central London.

Valid UK driving licence and clear DBS record.
