EQUANS is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer for our HMCTS contract in Leeds. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Role Overview:
The primary responsibility is to perform planned and reactive maintenance on Mechanical and Electrical Building Services plant, ensuring safety, timeliness, and compliance with specifications and processes. This includes Legionella control and basic plumbing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine PPM on mechanical and electrical plant as per schedules and CAFM.
- Complete reactive tasks and identify areas for improvement.
- Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects.
- Manage spares, provide parts lists, and estimate remedial works timeframes.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and pass to the contract administrator promptly.
- Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
- Develop good working relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, wearing PPE at all times.
- Present a professional image of EQUANS.
- Keep plant logs up to date and plant rooms tidy.
- Supervise subcontractors during maintenance.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover, and undertake lone working as required.
- Complete assigned tasks and adhere to KPIs/SLA.
- Maintain CAFM system accuracy and operate Permit to Work systems.
- Support emergency engineering needs to ensure business continuity.
Client/Customer Support:
- Respond promptly to requests, coordinate quotations, and produce information for quotes.
- Support Helpdesk with maintenance reporting and updates.
- Be available for out-of-hours call-outs.
Compliance & SHEQ:
- Obtain necessary Technical Appointments.
- Produce reports as required.
- Immediately inform supervisors of dangerous circumstances.
- Follow SHEQ policies, report incidents, and ensure PPE and test equipment are maintained.
Impact & Standards:
- Carry out Mechanical Engineering tasks to high standards.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, materials, and workmanship schedules.
- Care for tools and maintain a professional appearance and site cleanliness.
- Manage material coordination and site documentation.
- Work courteously with the public and team members.
Complexity & Skills:
- Fault finding, minor repairs, and general maintenance.
- Support subcontractors and wider team activities.
- Participate in all FM maintenance activities as needed.
- Support report preparation and safety compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Approximately 5 years of relevant FM Mechanical Engineering experience.
- City and Guilds - Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or higher.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, with initiative and professionalism.
- Full UK driving license.
