A mechanical engineering firm is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer based near Edinburgh. You will perform maintenance on industrial plants such as boilers and HVAC, and travel across multiple sites. Overview

Location: Edinburgh & East Lothian (Between two sites). Our client is looking for an experienced Mobile Mechanical Engineer who has experience of reactive maintenance and PPMs on industrial plant such as boilers, HVAC and everything mechanical. Ideally, you will be based in or around the Edinburgh area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

What you will be doing
  • Attend and carry out planned/reactive/additional works across the contract's estate.
  • Attend all jobs issued which may include non-mechanical jobs for which you have the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.
  • Undertake all tasks as directed by supervisors or other line management and jobs issued by the Helpdesk. Work must be in accordance with GTFM, client and site policies and procedures.
  • You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans.
  • As well as working core hours you will be required to partake on the call out rota. As this is a mobile based contract a company vehicle will be provided and must be used for travelling whilst on GTFM business.
  • Instructions which relate to the tasks in hand need to be adhered to.
  • All work must be done to current legislative standards and best industry standard.
  • The operative will be required to act in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings as directed by management.
About you
  • FM experience in an educational setting is desirable.

  • City & Guilds qualification or HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering or mechanical bias.
