Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to deliver on-site diagnostics, servicing and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces. You’ll work a 40-hour week over a 5‑day rota, with shifts from 8am to 8pm and optional overtime on evenings or rest days.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers.
• Work independently across multiple locations.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at appointments and roadside locations.
• Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for members.
• Take ownership of your local area and build relationships to grow demand.
