Role Overview

As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you'll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you'll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We equip you with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit. Think independence, career progression, and real work‑life balance with a 40‑hour week, Monday to Saturday availability (8 am–6 pm) and occasional Saturday shifts. The RAC is a trusted name for 125 years, now redefining roadside repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers on driveways, chatting and offering advice that reflects RAC values.
• Perform varied light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and checks, managing stock and reporting.
• Think on your feet, make the right call for each customer in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Location & Hours

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire – Full‑time, 40‑hour per week with core hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and one Saturday in every four weeks. Opportunities are also available in the East England area (Leicester, Stevenage, Watford).

• Competitive base salary of £38,625 with on‑target earnings up to £50,000.
