Job Description
- Responsible for completing a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections, adhering to SFG20 requirements. Tasks include daily, weekly, monthly, and 6-monthly PPM activities, with proper documentation of check sheets and reports.
- Maintain effective communication with the client's site engineering team.
- Produce weekly reports for the FM supervisor detailing site activities and plans.
- Maintain all electrical and mechanical plant services to industry standards.
- Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, method statements, and QHSE permitting.
- Schedule subcontractor visits and ensure adherence to client security protocols.
- Possess technical knowledge of critical environments, including AHUs, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, BeMS, pumps, control circuits, FCUs, ventilation systems, chilled and hot water systems, LTHW systems, H&V systems, etc.
- Identify parts for replacement and obtain quotations for condition maintenance plans.
- Ensure statutory engineering maintenance documentation is maintained and accessible.
- Oversee completion of PPMs and Client Service Requests in line with SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and review site SOPs, ERAs, and scenario training.
- Adhere to King & Moffat QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections.
- Participate in technical training, including competency assessments and scenario exercises.
- Be part of the Out of Hours call-out rota for the site.
- Report directly to the King & Moffat FM Supervisor/Manager/Coordinator.
- No direct budget responsibility but requires financial awareness.
- Demonstrate flexibility in service delivery based on client needs.
- Participate in out-of-hours call-outs for site facilities.
Person Specification
- Strong experience in data centre or similar clean room production environments.
- Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.
- Recognized NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or equivalent.
- Excellent fault diagnosis skills.
- Experience with BMS controls and HVAC systems.
- Good technical knowledge with project management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently to high standards within tight timescales.
- Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out protocols.
- Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers, and HVAC systems.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Advanced Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in commercial mechanical maintenance.
- Good understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumps.
Desirable Qualifications
- C&G Air Source Heat Pump Systems (2924).
- C&G F GAS and ODS Regulations (2079).
- Access-related qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, or others.
