Job summary

City Facilities Management Ltd. in Beccles/Lowestoft is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST) for a permanent, 40-hour week.

The role covers multiple sites, performing planned and reactive electrical maintenance and supporting catering equipment, with a total salary of £41,325 inclusive of standby and competency payments. The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1+2, City and Guilds 18th Edition, and AM2/2391, plus a full driving license and PDA experience.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1+2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance (essential).
City and Guilds 18th Edition (essential).
AM2 / 2391 (essential).
£1,500 competency payment added to basic salary after electrical fault training during probation period. Training provided by employer.

Responsibilities

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales and complete PPMs and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
Respond promptly to service call requests from Helpdesk, assess requirements, and carry out repairs as needed.
Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise Line Manager with replacement recommendations.
Advise on-site customer (manager) of repair and maintenance issues likely to affect site operations.
Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
Work with company and customer staff to maintain laid-down quality standards.
Carry out minor alterations and installations within individual competence as per current specifications.
Complete general repairs and maintenance on trained Food Services assets (catering and bakery equipment).
Comply with BER policy and guidelines on managing catering and bakery assets.
Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City management.
Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with City and customer employees.
Monitor and update the Mercury system with live job updates.
