Job summary

City Facilities Management Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST) to service Belper/Derby and surrounding sites.

The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across multiple locations, handling electrical and catering equipment in a retail environment, with comprehensive training provided. You will manage PPMs, document compliance, and liaise with site managers to minimise downtime while upholding safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 in electrical installation/maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 / 2391.
• £1,500 competency payment on training completion for catering/bakery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise maintenance and repairs to meet timescales and complete PPMs and reactive schedules.
• Complete the PPM schedule and ensure paperwork is up to date.
• Respond promptly to Helpdesk service calls and assess requirements for repairs.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Maintain clear communication with onsite management about issues affecting operations.
• Carry out surveys and prepare reports for City management.
• Work with staff to maintain defined quality standards.
• Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
• Perform general repairs on catering and bakery equipment as trained.
• Comply with BER policy for managing catering and bakery assets.
• Complete repairs across customer sites as designated by City management.
• Represent the company professionally and build good relationships with customers.
• Monitor and update Mercury system with live job updates.
