Job summary

City Facilities Management in North Wales / Wrexham is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST) to support a major supermarket client. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds 236 Part 1+2, City & Guilds 18th Edition, AM2/2391, and a full driving licence. Experience in a retail environment and using PDA systems is desirable.

Qualifications

• Essential electrical installation/maintenance qualifications.
• 18th Edition electrical regulations required.
• AM2/2391 qualification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM to schedule with accurate paperwork.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance at customer sites as directed.
• Maintain fire alarm systems and emergency lighting tests and repairs.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Use PDA system for tasks and reporting.

Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Electrician (AST)

Location: North Wales / Wrexham

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: £39,825 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment (1:4 x 13 Periods) + Overtime + Travel Time)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City Management (e.g. door repairs, general plumbing tasks, flooring etc)
• Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance.
• Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City management and helpdesk.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

• NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition.
• AM2 / 2391.

The ideal candidate:

• Full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves.
• Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.
