Job summary

North Yorkshire Council in Richmond, North Yorkshire is seeking a qualified Joiner to carry out repairs and maintenance on social housing stock, ensuring compliance with Decent Homes standards and regulatory timescales.

This is a mobile, customer-facing role using mobile tech, with a council vehicle provided and opportunity to work across tenanted properties. You will record work and maintain equipment, while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and experience in domestic joinery operations
• Experience using materials, tools and machinery used in the repair and maintenance of your duties
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety and Building Regulations
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers
• Good working knowledge of other trades associated with the primary area of experience
• Availability to participate in an out-of-hours emergency service on a rota basis

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and any associated repairs within our Housing stock
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment used
• Adhere to Health and Safety standards and safe working practices
• Participate in professional, mandatory and skills based training
• Carry out maintenance and joinery work and repairs in associated trades
