Job summary

Apleona Group is seeking a Mobile HVAC Service Engineer to cover Northampton and the surrounding region. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and occasional installations on commercial HVAC systems.

You will work independently and be on a call-out rota, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have a valid UK driving licence and hands-on experience with air handling units,

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2079 Category 1 F-Gas qualification or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Proven experience in planned and reactive maintenance within commercial environments.
• Experience with air conditioning split systems, VRF and VRV systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Experience maintaining accurate service and compliance records.
• Experience working with Air Handling Units (AHUs), ventilation systems and supply/extract fans.
• UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance across client portfolio.
• Perform reactive repairs and fault finding on HVAC systems.
• Undertake occasional installation works as required.
• Complete maintenance documentation and site records.
• Participate in call-out rota and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with specialist contractors and other engineering disciplines.
