Join to apply for the Mobile HGV Technician role at Paul Garvey Personal Training.

Interaction Northampton has been requested to find a talented Mobile HGV Technician to cover Northamptonshire and the West Midlands on a full-time, permanent basis. The start date is flexible, based on the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role

• Be a qualified and/or time-served HGV Technician
• Have solid Mobile Fitter / HGV Tech / HGV Mechanic experience
• Possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with familiarity with hydraulic systems
• Be capable of routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and servicing of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems; provide on-site breakdown assistance
• Have a solid employment history in commercial vehicles
• Experience with heavy plant, forklift, HGV, or agricultural machinery is desirable
• Own your tools; the company offers insurance coverage for personal tools
• Possibly hold a CSCS card and have HS2 experience
• May have NVQ Level 2 or higher in service, maintenance, and repair
• Be experienced working with vehicles of all sizes, from Vans to HGVs and Road Sweepers
• Possess a Class 1 Driving Licence (Cat C+E) if possible
• Be accustomed to handling heavy equipment

Your main responsibility will be to travel to job sites to assist with breakdowns or provide support across Northamptonshire and the West Midlands. Your workweek will be approximately 50 hours, with full autonomy over your schedule. For example, if you complete your jobs early on Friday, you may have extra hours over the weekend.

Overtime will be paid at the standard rate plus a £2 per hour uplift.

Interviews will be conducted promptly, starting with a telephone interview with me. Successful candidates will then meet with the hiring manager at one of the local depots.
