Job summary

SER (Staffing) Ltd are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in Northampton. You will service, maintain and repair a range of heavy plant machinery on client sites, with a company van provided for travel and on-site work.

The role offers an attractive hourly rate (£17–£18.50) plus overtime, 42.5-hour week, door-to-door pay and personal use allowance, 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and a pension scheme. Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• CSCS card or NVQ in Plant Maintenance is essential.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Maintain high standards to minimize downtime.
• Keep accurate service records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Ensure all machinery is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site.
• Travel to various locations in and around Northampton to carry out mobile repairs and servicing.

Qualifications

• A valid CSCS card or NVQ in Plant Maintenance is essential.

Day-to-Day

• Start your day by reviewing scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Travel to client sites in a fully equipped company van to carry out servicing and repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve machinery issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the company van.
• Complete and submit service reports and documentation promptly.
