Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative in Birmingham. You will maintain landscaped and communal areas, perform grass cutting, hedge trimming and planting, and work across estates in the local area.

The role is mobile and requires a valid UK driving licence; we offer a permanent annual contract and a supportive team environment. The position includes a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlements, a pension scheme,

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence – essential for a mobile role.
Live within a reasonable commutable distance of the Birmingham Depot.
Enjoy working outdoors in all weather; suitable uniform provided.
Good Health & Safety knowledge.
Grounds maintenance experience using plant and machinery, ideally for a local authority or housing association.
PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Maintain landscaped and communal green areas to a high standard.
Carry out tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, weeding and litter picking.
Work in the community with a friendly, approachable manner and good communication.
Operate plant and machinery safely in accordance with health and safety.
