Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Gas Engineer to support Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, with duties across Staffordshire, Oldham and Sheffield. The role involves planned maintenance, reactive tasks and on-call cover in a mobile contract.

You will hold gas qualifications (COCN1, CENWAT1, CCP1, CDGA1, CORT1, TPCP1), understand SFG20, and have an NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical. A full driving licence is essential for this mobile role.

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications covering boilers, water heaters, tube heaters and pipework.
• SFG20 knowledge and ability to deliver works to timescales.
• NVQ in Mechanical and/or Electrical to support gas qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and reactive repair to gas equipment in line with regulations.
• Attend and complete reactive and planned maintenance within timescales.
• Manage unsafe situations, issue warnings and communicate with clients.
• Manage workloads, deadlines and quotations for remedial jobs over £500.
• Support team wellbeing and promote an inclusive workplace.
