Job summary

LiveWest, the largest housing association in the South West, seeks a qualified Gas Engineer to maintain and improve our properties in the Totnes area. This mobile role covers homes across our patch, with a typical 40-hour week and on-call duties.

You will diagnose boiler faults, perform servicing, and carry out installation work while complying with safety regulations. Driving is essential and a robust gas qualifications portfolio is required.

Qualifications

• CCN1 (Domestic Core Element)
• CENWAT1 (Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters)
• CKR1 (Cookers) - required to complete within probation period
• HTR1 (Heaters) - required to complete within probation period
• LPG (Bottled Gas) desirable
• Part L (Energy Efficiency Qualification) desirable
• Part G (Hot Water Safety and Efficiency) desirable
• WRAS Water Regs desirable
• Unvented Hot Water desirable
• OFTEC (Oil Qualification) desirable
• OFTEC or equivalent (Solid Fuel Qualification) desirable

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and repair of domestic heating systems, including fault-finding, installation, and annual servicing.
• Ensure work meets building regulations and safety requirements.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional approach to our customers, ensuring high standard of service.
• Perform periodic testing and installation work, ensuring compliance with current best practices and guidelines.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Take part in an out-of-hours on-call structure and attend meetings and training as required.
