Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to cover commercial sites across South East London. You will perform planned maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding on commercial heating, boilers, water heaters and HVAC systems.

The role is Monday to Friday with ACS Commercial Gas tickets and Category 1 F-Gas certification, plus a full UK driving licence. A company van and fuel card are provided to support site work.

Qualifications

• Must hold ACS Commercial Gas tickets (COCN1 / CODNCO1 etc.) and F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with commercial heating, boilers, and HVAC systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPMs, servicing, and reactive repairs on commercial heating systems, boilers, water heaters, and AC equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical plant room issues and refrigeration/HVAC circuits efficiently.
• Ensure all work adheres to Gas Safe regulations, F-Gas compliance standards, and British Safety regulations.
• Perform gas tightness testing, flue gas analysis, and complete digital job sheets via CAFM / mobile software.
• Act as a professional technical point of contact for on-site facility managers and building owners.

Salary: £52,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Standard Day Shift)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas & FGAS Engineer to cover commercial sites across South East London. In this role, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and fault finding across commercial heating, boiler plant rooms, and air conditioning/HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out routine PPMs, servicing, and reactive breakdown repairs on commercial heating systems, boilers, water heaters, and AC equipment.
• Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical plant room issues and refrigeration/HVAC circuits efficiently.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to Gas Safe regulations, F-Gas compliance standards, and British Safety regulations.
• System Testing: Perform gas tightness testing, flue gas analysis, and complete digital job sheets via CAFM / mobile software.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Commercial Gas Certification: Valid ACS Commercial Gas tickets (COCN1 / CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1, ICPN1)
• F-Gas Certification: Category 1 F-Gas (City & Guilds 2079 / CITB)
• Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (clean or low points)
