Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer in Newcastle. You will service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of forklifts and material‑handling equipment on customer sites with a company van and standard hours.

This role offers stability within a growing, family‑like business and opportunities for progression. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2/3 or proven hands-on experience with forklifts, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently while delivering

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant, Engineering, HGV, Agricultural or similar.
• OR proven experience working on forklifts, plant or heavy equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident working independently on customer sites.
• Solid diagnostics ability (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)

Responsibilities

• Mobile servicing & repairs – diagnose, maintain and repair forklifts and material‑handling equipment.
• Customer support – on‑site service that builds trust and repeat business.
• Technical excellence – keep equipment safe, compliant and performing at its best.
