Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting a Mobile Forklift Engineer to cover Manchester and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks on customer sites, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults with laptop-based diagnostic systems.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across Manchester and the surrounding areas.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Use laptop-based diagnostic systems to identify and resolve faults.
• Complete planned maintenance, breakdowns and inspections.
• Complete chargeable, warranty and internal repairs to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate service records and job sheets.
• Provide professional technical support and excellent customer service.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Participate in weekend cover and additional hours on a rota.
