Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to service, maintain and repair a range of materials handling equipment on-site with customers. You will diagnose faults, carry out routine inspections and complete service records to keep forklifts, MEWP and related machinery reliable.

You will plan scheduled visits, complete service records and warranty work, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality on-site support to clients across sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, repairing or maintaining materials handling equipment (MHE).
• Ability to diagnose faults and plan timely on-site repairs.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair materials handling equipment including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.
• Diagnose faults and identify potential repairs to maximise reliability.
• Complete service records, job sheets, parts orders and warranty work accurately.
• Provide a professional and high-quality service to customers.
• Plan and book scheduled maintenance with customers.
• Prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• Ensure chargeable work and scheduled servicing are completed within timescales.
• Maintain regular communication with the service team regarding completed work and reports.
• Carry out lifting equipment inspections when required.
• Carry out PAT testing when required.
• Follow all site health and safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required as part of the role.

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair a range of materials handling equipment. You’ll play an important role in keeping equipment safe, reliable and operational for customers.

The role will involve working on-site with customers, identifying faults, carrying out repairs and completing routine inspections and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair materials handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.
• Diagnose faults and identify potential repairs to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
• Complete service records, job sheets, parts orders and warranty work accurately.
• Provide a professional and high-quality service to customers.
• Plan and book scheduled maintenance with customers.
• Prioritise and manage your workload effectively.
• Ensure chargeable work and scheduled servicing are completed within agreed timescales.
• Maintain regular communication with the service team regarding completed work, estimates, damage reports and outstanding jobs.
• Carry out lifting equipment inspections when required.
• Carry out PAT testing when required.
• Follow all site health and safety requirements and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required as part of the role.
