Alecto Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to cover the North East, carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment at customer sites. The role is largely field based with depot visits for parts only occasionally.

The package includes a £35,000-£40,000 basic salary with overtime, a fully expensed van, private medical insurance and a company pension.

Formación

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Materials Handling Engineer.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.

THE PACKAGE

• £35,000-£40,000 basic salary, depending on experience

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

THE ROLE

• You'll be working as a Mobile Forklift Engineer, covering customer sites throughout the North East, carrying out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
• You'll benefit from a largely field-based role, with depot visits for parts typically required just once or twice a week. This means less time travelling back and forth to the depot and more time working independently out in the field.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks at customer sites.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Identifying faults and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Materials Handling Engineer.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
• Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Electrical knowledge would be a significant advantage.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• A reliable, punctual and flexible approach, with a commitment to high standards.
