Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
• Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and safety practices.
• Strong numeracy skills and experience with cash handling.
• Excellent people skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in varied weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Valid driving licence (desirable).
• Previous experience in mobile catering or food service operations (desirable).
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or similar technology (desirable).
• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the mobile food service unit, including equipment and serving areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process customer payments using point-of-sale systems.
• Assist with stock management, including monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages.
• Comply with all food safety and health and safety regulations at all times.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, responding to customer enquiries and requests.
• Support the setup and breakdown of the mobile food service unit at various locations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout service periods.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards and wear appropriate uniform and protective equipment.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required.
