Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Mobile Fitter (Rail Freight) to support the maintenance and repair of rail freight vehicles, performing mechanical and electrical work in a safety-critical environment. The role requires attention to safety and quality while working on locomotives and rolling stock.

Key duties include scheduled maintenance at approved locations, testing equipment, and completing maintenance documentation. Essential are NVQ Level 3 in engineering and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance at approved locations.

• Work in line with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and company procedures.
• Complete accurate maintenance documentation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and workmanship.
• Work independently or as part of a team under supervision when required.
