Job summary

Lifestone Homes is hiring a Fire Stopping & FRA Works Technician to deliver compliant fire stopping and passive fire protection across occupied homes in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The role focuses on fire compartmentation, fire door maintenance and evidence recording, with a mobile field-based schedule and a 40-hour week.

You’ll work to FIRAS/BM Trada standards, carry a UK driving licence, and utilise a van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Experience completing FIRAS/BM Trada or equivalent certified fire safety work.
• Experience in repairs and maintenance within housing.
• Experience working in communal areas and occupied homes.
• Good IT skills and able to document works efficiently on forms provided.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Full manual UK driving licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working methods.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and restricted access areas.
• Competent person with extensive knowledge and practical experience in passive fire protection.
• Strong knowledge of fire compartmentation, service penetrations and maintaining fire-resisting barriers.

Responsibilities

• Complete fire stopping and passive fire protection actions across housing stock.
• Assist with fire door works and maintenance.
• Maintain evidence records and report on progress.
